Behind the scenes, I managed to make OK progress on this project from time to time, where "OK" is very much relative to the time I had available, and not the real-world time that elapsed. Since I have a working engine, I've started to fiddle with improving assertions. That involves Scala 3 macros, since I want to display the failed predicate. This is an area which can be infinitely improved, so I'm going to pick an ending point and call it good soon. Then I'll shore up some reporting and work on some end-to-end tests.

I'm writing an in-depth article on
meager-test. I started it at the very
beginning of October, finished about half of it, and then lost the ability to
work on anything. I've re-dated it to November and will hopefully finish it
between travel these two coming weekends. Sadly I don't have a good way to work
(from the time/space perspective) while out of town.
